Despite evidence to the contrary, I really do cook things that don’t contain pumpkin. I guess I just don’t post about them. Today’s oatmeal adventures were accompanied by Destiny Disrupted: A History of the World Through Islamic Eyes, which I highly recommend. Make a batch on the weekend, reheat and eat throughout the week.
Finished out the year strong, with 223 total books; wrapped up the Pop Sugar Challenge and my reading challenge for work. 20 of those books were completed in December (with 1 DNF); 8 fiction/12 non-fiction.
No challenges completed this month – school is definitely eating up my reading time! Up to 186 books for the year, 5 this month alone (0 DNFs); 3 fiction/2 non-fiction.
No challenges completed this month – school is definitely eating up my reading time! Up to 181 books for the year, nine this month alone (no DNFs); six fiction/three non-fiction.
When you’re gifted a pumpkin, and your lactose-intolerant husband is out of town, what do you do? If you’re me, you put your phone in a ramekin, put on an audiobook (The Invisibles: The Untold Story of African American Slaves in the White House) and whip up your own personal take on Food 52’s Pasta Al Forno with Pumpkin and Pancetta.
No challenges completed this month, though I’m close – only one more to go for Bookish, five for Pop Sugar, and three for Strategic Reading (plus nine for work)…and most of those are just waiting on library holds! Up to 151 books for the year, 29 this month alone (30 less one DNF); 18 fiction/12 non-fiction.
A very busy month! I completed the Litsy A to Z and Book Riot Read Harder challenges this month, and passed my goal of 100 books for the Goodreads challenge. Up to 122 books for the year, 35 this month alone (36 less 1 DNF); 20 fiction/15 non-fiction. Our household also got a new Kindle this month, so my ebook numbers are on the rise.
